You need to isolate the fuel lines from the hot intake manifold, raise them up & away from everything and install a one inch phenolic gasket/spacer between the carb and the intake manifold and that should solve your problem. Those big block fords can run very hot and give off a lot of excess heat. I know, I’ve got a 390 in my ’69.
