When to use an indicator switch or a hazard flasher?
Hazard Flasher are usually used to keep different patterns using the Indicator Lights. Their purpose is to using different frequency patterns in the indicator lights. When you take a turn, you can use the indicator switch and it should override the hazard flasher and your indicator lights should only work !
How can I tell if my hazard switch is working?
The indicators work fine when selected but when turned off again the relay continues to click. The clicking is not consistent as when the indicators are selected but instead erratic. If I turn my lights on it reduces the frequency of the clicking but it still does it occasionally.

The hazards will still flash as normal when inside the car even if a bulb is burnt out because the hazards do not run via the Electronic Flasher Module. The EFM is what detects a burnt out bulb
