After it was replaced, the power running boards do not work any more. I have tried switching them on and off. When the battery was replaced, the power running board switch was in the off position. Did you check the fuse? Yes, Sorry I did forget to mention that I replaced the 30A fuse.

Have the same problem, passenger side running board randomly and frequently extends to the rear of the truck. Tried pulling the fuse (#74) under the hood but still no luck, wondering if anyone has found the solution to this. Did you pull the fuse and start the truck/few start cycles, before putting it back in?

I had the same problem with my 2017 Sierra Denali power running board on the passenger side opening and going to the rear tire on its own. I was able to reset it by removing the fuse under the hood and that fixed it. Have the same problem, passenger side running board randomly and frequently extends to the rear of the truck.

How do I Turn Off the running board?

Well, after a few weeks of searching, I found the answer to the problem. After the battery has been replaced, the ASC controller goes into storage mode. To get them out of that mode, simply open all 4 doors and press the ASC controller disable button on and off 4 times. The running boards open and function properly. Thanks for everyone’s reply.
