Where is the suction control valve located?
Where is the suction control valve located?
Suction Control Valve (SCV) is one of the important actuators in the common rail system. SCV is usually installed in the supply pump (high-pressure fuel pump).
What is suction control valve?
The Suction Control Valve or SCV is responsible for the control of fuel pressure inside common rail engines. It allows only the required amount of fuel to be pumped through the system.
How does a SCV valve work?
The Suction Control Valve ( SCV ) is an actuator in the common rail system regulating the fuel pressure inside the delivery pipe (rail). When the SCV is damaged, the fuel pressure needed by the engine will vanish. As a result, the rail will lose fuel pressure, and the injector cannot properly inject the fuel.
What is discharge valve?
Discharge Valves are devices that make it possible to monitor and control the flow of a substance from a source and through some type of circulation system. A basic discharge valve serves to regulate the flow of a substance, making it possible to increase or decrease that flow so that the desired outcome is achieved.
What kind of level switch does a suction lance use?
Suction lance with two-stage level switch in PVC protective tube Ø 50 with non-return valve in DN 10-DN 25, flap valve in DN 32 (valve is not removable). For sizes DN 10/15 and DN 20/25, connector components for both sizes plus a dummy panel for the return line are included in the scope of supply.
How is the suction control valve ( SCV ) monitored?
This pressure is monitored by the fuel rail pressure sensor to ensure suitability. A suitable scanner to monitor rail pressure increase and decrease during acceleration and deceleration can assist the technician in diagnosing SCV faults.
How does duty control work on the suction control valve?
The engine-ECU performs duty control over the suction control valve. The engine-ECU checks whether the amount of current for driving duty is adequate. 2 seconds later after the ignition switch has been in “ON” position or the engine has started up.
When does suction control valve need to be open?
The fuel injection rate is 4 mm 3 /st or more. When the driving duty ratio of the suction control valve is higher than the specified value, the driving current is lower than the specified value. Rail pressure is controlled in the range from 50 to 100 MPa.
