Where is the parking brake on a Dodge Ram?
It is basically a drum brake that rides on the inner side of the rotor. There is a dust cap on the inside of the backing plate that you pull off and adjust it using a screwdriver to move the star wheel. If you are unsure of how to adjust a drum brake just search for it on youtube. You may even find how to adjust the parking brake as well.

An easy way to adjust your parking brake if it no longer stops your car from rolling away. I adjust my parking brake for my rear disc brake. My car would roll down a slight incline with the parking brake engaged. This is not good because I do not want the weight of the car on my manual transmission I want it on the parking brake.

It was pretty rusty so I sprayed it down with some PB blaster, I’ll try and adjust it on another day.

The adjusting instructions are on page 5-91 of the FSM for 2008 so if you have a FSM for your year truck, they should be there somewhere. So… I’m having the same issue on my 2003 ram3500 = and frankly the answers you guys are making is pitiful!
Can You Park on a hill with a parking brake?
The guy said it doesn’t hold. of course we can park on a hill, turn the wheels to the curb, and leave it in gear.. but that doesn’t adequately answer this guys issue and when I went searching I was appalled by the dribble on this forum.
