I can understand a couple degree difference since it is located near the radiator, but sometimes mines off 5-6 degrees (reads 98/99 when it’s actually 93 out).
How can I Reset my outdoor temp sensor?
One way to “reset” the outdoor temp sensor is to push the A/C button and the recirculate button at the same time. This button sequence should work as it works on my 07. Let me know if it does. Another way is to get out on the highway and get some airflow to the sensor; I have noticed this works but takes much longer.

Pull the A pillar and B pillar trim panels . Pry down the headliner on the drivers side to get to the sensor. Pry the cover off above the drivers head. unsnap the electrical connector and slide it out. Reverse the procedure to install. No more noise.This sensor sucks in air over a thermistor to sample air temperature. It is part of the HVAC system.
