It feels like there is a big subwoofer in the back which plays this super low frequency tone (about 10-20Hz). It definitely does not come from the tires. The tone starts exactly at 55km/h and ends approximately at 80km/h. The steering wheel is also vibrating noticeable up to 100km/h.

My Transit is doing the exact same thing. Its very obnoxious between 50 and 60 MPH. Took it to my dealer and they told me that its from the tires, they said that they checked the balance of all of the drivelines and that they are all well within spec.

When does the vibration in a Ford truck go away?
I have a 2018 F-150 3.5 with a 10 speed Trans, the truck has less then 2000 miles on it and whey the trucks hits 50-60 mph it develops a harmonic/vibration that goes away when you let off of the gas pedal. When towing a 1000 lbs trailer the harmonic/vibration is magnified.

Why is my Trans bad on my 4L60E?
Trans seems noisy when moving in 1st and Reverse, noise goes away instantly if you shift to N or the transmission goes into 3rd gear: Reaction planetary is worn out due to high miles or insufficient lubrication. Not a critical failure, but not a good sign either.
