What kind of fluid should I use for my power steering pump?
Subaru red synthetic Atf fluid is what you should use. Any amount of old remaining fluid that has water in it will continue to make it whine. I flushed it to the point where the fluid changed color… it was a few months ago so I don’t remember details.
