When does hill descent control fault come on?

About a month ago on my 13 F150 Screw FX4 I started seeing the warning pop up saying “Hill Descent Control Fault and another one saying Service AdvanceTrac. After acknowledging both lights, the light for the traction control fault would come on.

I was pulling out onto a highway and the truck began shaking violently, moving very slow with no acceleration, power steering was lost, and the dashboard was showing all the above errors. Luckily there were no vehicles coming when I entered the highway and there was a place to safely pull off the highway.

Luckily was able to force the wheel slightly to the right slow down and get into a bus lane. Anyways tried to shut down and restart and I could not budge the wheel, got stuck on the side of the road in the city in a bus lane at 4pm was terrible, took two hours to get a tow out of there and I had to take a cab home.
