Is there a problem with Cat ACERT engines?
The Turbo failure is the symptom not the problem. Cat has a major problem with their ACERT engines which use a fuel burner regeneration system. These came into the market in late 2007 thru 2009 I’m told. They are being sued by some fleets for the down time and other expenses on the C13/C15 engines with the same system.
