I have been researching what the best spark plug is for my 2013 F150 5.0L FX4. I have found out that Ford superseded the factory installed spark plug PN SP-519 (Iridium) to PN SP-548 (Platinum). Does anyone know why this change was made? Was this just a cost reduction at the engine plant because platinum is cheaper? Was there performance concerns?
