The rev limiter is supposed to blip the ignition at a certain RPM when in reverse unless the button is pressed. You said that if you press the button before shifting to reverse it runs fine and then if you release the button while still in reverse it dies.

All except this one I just picked up, do what they are suppose to in reverse. Please re-read the thread title and my post and understand exactly what’s being asked.
