Can you manually shift a 454 big block?

It was “Beefed up” by the rebuilder, but he did not change the drum to Stainless and it works great. Only issue is, the shift points are quite a bit lower than a turbo 350/400, so the engine will not reach max rpm before shifting unless you manually shift from third to fourth.
