Click to expand… Starting with 2017 Ford went with the new R-1234yf Freon…You need the fitting and hose for that type,,,I believe Honeywell has the patent on this, that’s why each can of Freon is like $35 now..Probably take a few years to see it drop when the patent expires…You can buy the hose, gauge with fittings on Amazon now….

Very strange I can find the high side on left side in front of windshield washer fluid tank but the low side seems to be in the middle in front of radiator. I have tried 2 different recharge fittings but no dice! Am I at the wrong fitting? Or does the ford escape have something different?
