The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) is the brain behind the electronically shifted GM 4WD systems. The TCCM processes the shift request from the dash mounted mode selector buttons, executes the shift, and verifies the shift was completed.

Where is the TCCM on a Chevy Colorado?

I have an annoying high pitched chirping in 4 auto and 4 hi that I am thinking is coming from the TCCM. I’d like to get to it and wrap it with some dynamat or other sound damping material. The only problem is that I can’t seem to find the darn thing. It’s not in the driver footwell like the Sierra’s.

Is the TCCM part part of pip5261b?

The TCCM part was subbed a number of times and is not too expensive so may be worthwhile to simply replace it although it would need to be programmed. Our vehicle is not part of PIP5261B but does not mean it is not occurring as per your diagnosis.
