What is a clutch start circuit?

The clutch start switch is a member of the starting system. It’s a safety device that prevents a driver from starting the engine with the clutch engaged. It’s usually mounted on the clutch pedal assembly but may slide on the clutch master pushrod. Use a multimeter to diagnose the clutch switch and circuit.

What is a clutch position switch?

Where is the a / C CLUTCH cycle switch located?

With a blown fuse, the compressor obviously won’t turn on. So, I pulled the A/C wiring diagrams from the web and looked over them. I found that the A/C compressor clutch circuit goes 12V à fuse à relay à C104 connector on firewall à compressor clutch connector à ground.

How is the clutch connected to the engine?

The engine crankshaft, flywheel, spring (coil or diaphragm) and pressure plate are all connected together, they are fixed to each other. On the other hand, the clutch disc is connected to the gearbox input shaft.

How to manually engage AC compressor clutch, the easiest?

There is no need to switch on the air conditioning system for this method to work. Tips – You should route the jumper wire to avoid it getting tangled or interfering with other moving components. It is an ominous sign when the clutch engages but the compressor does not spin. Changing the compressor clutch could be the only solution in this case.

When to move on to the clutch relay?

Move on to the clutch relay if the fuse turns out fine. In a few car models, the power of the air conditioning system flows from the AC switch to the fuse before being transmitted to the clutch oil through the low-pressure evaporator temperature. You have to make sure that the compressor has enough oil to function properly.
