1) Clutch pedal has no pressure, goes straight to the ground and right back up again with no resistance – rules out pedal box issues 2) Car will idle in neutral but will not go into gear while running – rules out selector fork issues

Also, check the pin to the clutch pedal and make sure that it is hooked up to the clutch master cylinder. Check the lines and make sure that they are not cross threaded, which will not seal and cause a leak. If a clutch hydraulic system has a leak, then the clutch will not work.

Problem solved, dropped the box to be showered with a birds nest of clutch plate, basically nothing left on the clutch what so ever, and it had a few bent forks in it too.

If there is no pressure at all, most likely the throw-out bearing fork rod or the linkage to it broke. If a pressure plate is worn, or t/o bearing bad, flywheel scorched, all that you would sttill feel pressure on the petal.

What did I do when my Clutch did not work?
So, the long story short, my clutch did not work at all. I went to Pick and Pull, picked up a separate small clutch reservoir from some older car for $2, installed it nearby the brake/clutch reservoir of my car and corked the existing clutch fluid outlet.
Can you pump your clutch with your feet?
Foxy, if you pump your clutch with the feet when you car is started, it will work… but it is just temporary. you wont need to call the tow anymore. i discover that few days ago… 13 people found this helpful. Endive, i was able to keep my car going by doing that thanks but still have no idea what the actual problem is yet.
