What does OBD stand for in the lock scenario?
OBD in the lock scenario is just a coordinator for the Voyo wireless addons relays. Voyomotive does somehow lock/unlock doors and pop trunk without anything additional than their obd2 unit. I have one so I can vouch for this. The relays (which they still haven’t come out with yet) have some other functions like starting/stopping the engine.

How does a cruise control module detect speed?
The only way your cruise control module is going to know how fast the vehicle is moving is if the vehicle speed sensors feed this information to it. If the module cannot detect the speed because of faulty speed sensors, then the cruise control system will automatically deactivate.

If you switch to Aux input, CD, satellite radio, etc… the power antenna wire will stop receiving power and your amplifier will power down as a result. Understanding what a remote turn on wire does and installing it correctly will ensure there is no unwanted current draw on the vehicle’s battery when the audio system should be off.
