What does it mean when your head lights are not working?

The fact that your low beams are not working would normally indicate that power is not getting past the relay. JP! normally provides power to the low beams regardless of the headlight switch as long as power is being supplied via the relay contacts. I will check tonight, where is that JP! relay?

Why are my spotlights not working with led?

Now that the low beam filament is gone and replaced with LED, the spotlights do not work. In order to get a reliable trigger from a negatively switched wiring system, one must take two wires from the headlight, one from the common supply for low and high beam and one from the high beam terminal that will be grounded via the high beam dip switch.

Why is the fuse on my headlight not working?

They tried putting in the new bulb but had the same conclusion, its not working.. the fuse is ok. the wiring must be messed up. Why are the head lights on my Outlander not working?

I have a 2012 outlander 1000xt. The head lights will not work at all anymore (highs and lows). I looked at all the fuses, and they are good. Replaced the relay and still nothing.

Why are my headlights not working in high beam?

If just one bulb fails to work in either high beam mode or low beam mode, it may be the bulb. Most headlight failures that are limited to just high or low beams are related to a relay or the high beam control switch.

What to do when both head lights stop working at the same time?

When that happens, the operational lifespan of your headlight capsule will be severely compromised, and the only fix is to replace the headlight assembly. When both headlights stop working at the same time, the bulbs usually aren’t at fault.

Do you need a relay for Your Headlights?

Most manufacturers did not use a relay for the headlights up until very recently. I used a Daniel Stern relay kit for this installation which went very smoothly. It was really nice to have everything necessary to get the job done in one purchase off of the internet rather than having to hunt down individual parts.

Why are my high intensity discharge ( HID ) headlights not working?

High intensity discharge (HID) headlights can also fail due to other associated components. Neither of the headlights work. The cause: Burned out bulbs, or an issue with power or ground. The fix: Check for power and ground, and fix if necessary. Otherwise, replace the bulbs.
