What is the indication of Pulmozyme?
Pulmozyme (dornase alfa) is indicated, in conjunction with standard therapies, for the management of pediatric and adult patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) to improve pulmonary function.

What is NebuSal?
NebuSal is the chemical name for salt. This medicine can reduce some types of bacteria in certain body secretions, such as saliva. NebuSal is used to produce sputum (mucus, or phlegm) from the mouth to help improve lung function in people with cystic fibrosis, or to collect sputum for medical testing.
Why can’t cystic fibrosis patients live?
For people with CF, being close to others with the disease puts them at greater risk of getting and spreading dangerous germs and bacteria. This is called cross‐infection. Not only are these dangerous germs difficult to treat, but they can also lead to worsening symptoms and faster decline in lung function.
How do you take Viokace?
Take VIOKACE tablets exactly as your doctor tells you. Do not take more tablets in a day than the number your doctor tells you to take (total daily dose). Always take VIOKACE with a meal or a snack and enough liquid to swallow VIOKACE completely.
How is mucomyst administered?
MUCOMYST may be introduced directly into a particular segment of the bronchopulmonary tree by inserting (under local anesthesia and direct vision) a small plastic catheter into the trachea. Two to 5 mL of the 20% solution may then be instilled by means of a syringe connected to the catheter.
How do you use Nebusal?
Using the nebulizer, inhale this medication into your lungs as directed by your doctor. Use this medication only through a nebulizer. Do not swallow or inject the solution. Discard any unused solution.
Can you kiss someone with cystic fibrosis?
Don’t shake hands with or kiss the cheeks of other people with cystic fibrosis. Do not go into a pub or restaurant after the event if there may be others with CF present.
