What causes no spark, no injector pulse condition?

What causes no spark, no injector pulse condition?

Could ignition switch cause this no spark, no injector pulse condition. Tough problem. Obviously you know that for an engine to run it needs: I’m assuming that this is your vehicle, it worked before, and now it doesn’t. (i.e. the engine’s four cycle functions are correct.

Why does my car not start when I crank the engine?

If the engine doesn’t crank, or makes an unusual noise when cranking, you may have a starting system problem. The car’s security system may have made an error that disabled the fuel or ignition system, or the chip in the key may have failed.

What makes an internal combustion engine not start?

To operate efficiently, an internal combustion gasoline engine needs a good spark, the right amount of fuel, and good compression (a healthy mechanical condition). The lack of any of these three things will prevent your engine from starting.

What to look for when your engine won’t start?

Check for a blown fuse that may be preventing a circuit from working properly, like the fuel injection or computer system. To operate efficiently, an internal combustion gasoline engine needs a good spark, the right amount of fuel, and good compression (a healthy mechanical condition).

What is a bad fuel injector?

A car that has a bad fuel injector will often have a rough, or choppy, engine idle. A fuel injector is responsible for injecting fuel directly into the engine cylinder where it is burnt during combustion; if this fuel delivery is compromised, a rough engine idle can result.

What are the causes of bad fuel injectors?

Poor fuel quality is a major reason why fuel injectors go bad. According to our experts, “fuel injectors will fail when debris (water, dirt particles, etc.) or rust find their way into the system and, after time, scour valve sets, clog nozzles, or even cause the nozzle needle to stick.”.

What are symptoms of a clogged fuel injector?

Common symptoms of dirty or clogged fuel injectors include the following: Rough idling. Failed emissions test. Low RPMs. Poor gas mileage. Engine surging. Trouble starting.

What causes no power to fuel injectors?

The most important signals that determine the accuracy of a signal coming out of ECU to injectors are crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor, so to test a bad injector, you have to check the voltage on the injector when the ignition key is turned on: NO VOLTAGE? , so what causes no power to fuel injectors?

Why do I have no spark on my ignition switch?

I have changed both crank and cam sensors and have power to all four coil over plug coils and to one side of the injectors on all with the key on but am not getting spark to spark plugs when cranking.I have power to fuse and changed relay to ignition. Could ignition switch cause this no spark, no injector pulse condition. Tough problem.

Why is my TFI and injector pulse not working?

Mar 10, 2000 The PIP is indeed suspect. Pull the SPOUT jumper out of the harness and see if it makes a difference. Keep in mind that PIP problems may be heat sensitive, and the symptoms may change as things cool off. The PIP is a Hall Effect magnetic sensor that triggers the TFI and injectors.

What happens if there is no injection signal?

The ECU cannot pulse the injector without an Ne signal and will not start or run if this signal is not present. If the G signal is not present while cranking the engine, the ECU will not be able to identify when to produce the injection signal. The result will be the same, no injection pulse.
