Fiat offer and honour a world-wide warranty on their vehicles, no matter where they are bought from, whereas Iveco, refuse!! Another bonus, Allison have warranted the new gearbox for 3 years or 100,000kms, whichever comes first. Their service has been oustanding and I cannot praise them enough for their help and standard of work.
Why is my car unable to engage 2nd, 4th and reverse gears?
There is no possibility of something to go wrong inside the gearbox but your current problem has something to do with the shifter assembly or the cables or there could be something stuck where the cables connect to the gearbox. re: Unable to engage 2nd, 4th & Reverse Gears! Why does my gearbox not engage 1st gear?

Why does my M32 gearbox feel like it is moving?
It can feel like moving the gear stick through a thick fluid when trying to select gear. This will require the linkage cables being replaced. The issue can also arise from oil contamination, bearing wear and broken selector forks.
