Is there a warning sound when the headlights are on?
When I have the headlights on and take the key out and open the door there is no warning sound audible. I’m betting there should be though. How do I find/troubleshoot this? Hey all, longtime lurker. I usually find all the info I need already in these posts but I must not be using the right search term for this question.
How does the key in ignition Beep work?
The key in ignition beep is done with the ignition switch. It has a separate switch and associated wires that operates when the key is in the lock. The headlight & door open beep uses the same switch that lights the dome light when the door is open. On my Corolla there are no wires in the door.

The key in ignition switch signal is on a red/white wire and goes to X5. The headlight on switch is on a blue wire and goes to C11-0. It looks like all three potential alarm conditions ground the respective input signalto the MCU, key in ignition, headlights on, and door open.

What causes no ignition, or dash lights when turning key?
Q: I have no ignition, or dash lights when turning key. All relays and battery are fine. Dash lights work when headlights are on. I’m thinking its some kind of electrical problem. I got it to start one time with the remote start. After that, nothing. I’ve tried jump box to be sure I have power.
