Is there a problem with my Ford Focus air con?
I have a 2006 ford focus 1.8 tdci, just recently the air con has stopped working. i took it to a garage to have it re gassed and was told gas levels were ok. Yesterday disconnenected the Compressor plug and accross the 2 Pins i have 14v.
Is there a problem with the Ford Focus Turbo?
You should be able to get a scrap turbo quite cheaply, but you would be best with a rebuilt re-con as there is not easy way of telling the condition with running them up. The Focus 1.8 TDci has a very common problem with the rubber turbo pipe on top of the engine….the one with a metal pipe attached that has an electrical connection on it.

The air conditioning has stopped working on my Mk1 Focus Zetec. It’s coming up for 80k miles and as far as I know, the air con system has never been touched or ‘regassed’.
