Click to expand… It does sound a lot like that. Get down low and look under the dash, just above the gas pedal and you will see the box and the levers etc. attached to it. I could see the levers moving and hear the sound. When mine is making the noise, I can make it stop by adjusting the temperature knob.

Where does the clicking noise come from on my LX?

Clicking noise coming from under dash or steering column on driver side. LX model, no sensing. About 3 weeks ago my LX began to make this clicking noise inside the car that appears to be coming from either the lower dash on the driver side or the steering column.

Once you re-attach the wiring, proceed to reassemble the dash as indicated in the dash removal instructions.Follow the precautions to make sure the airbags don’t explode, turn on the car and verify that the flapping noise is gone.
