While it is common, it is not “normal” Well, it ended up needing the second clutch pack and solenoid replaced. There is actually a bulletin in Alldata. When i took it to the dealer the mechanic couldnt duplicate what i was talking about. But the dealer was very helpull and offered to do the Bulletin fix anyways under warranty.

Why does my Impala not Rev past 4K?
Unless you had it tuned out, the rev limiter won’t let you past 4k in park or neutral anyway, to keep people from blowing up their engines by uselessly revving them. Are you sure its not the limiter? It’s possible that it’s just hitting the rev limiter in Park.
