Is the power steering working at 3000 rpm?

Noticed that when I drove it that the power steering started working when I was running the motor above 3000 RPM’s below 3000 there is no power. Also noticed that the pump is making a significant whine in the upper RPM range.

Is it possible to turn left at a slow speed?

It is very hard to turn right at very slow speed such as turning into a driveway or when backing up. It’s also almost impossible to turn right while vehicle is sitting still till you start to excelerate then you can gradually turn to the right. Turning to the Left is Never an issue.

Why is my steering wheel hard to turn right?

Re: Steering wheel hard to turn right but not left at… Check the power steering fluid level. Left is torque side and probably tightens the belt as right it would loosen the belt a little so check the belt for sloppyness too. Hope this helps, The Raz

Why is my power steering pump so low?

It could be a leak in the power steering pump or the fluid level could be low. If the fluid level is left this way for too long it can damage the whole power steering system. Either way, the power steering pump needs to be looked at and potentially replaced by a professional.

Why does my Silverado make a popping noise when I turn?

The noise seemed to be coming from the passenger side, but I can feel the pop through the floor as well. The noise has become progressively louder (sometimes a BANG!) and appears to be louder the steeper the incline I park on. The noise has started to occur in drive at low speeds, but only during sharp LEFT turns.
