In other words the wire with the angled boot is the power wire that triggers the solenoid and connects the power from the battery to the starter. Is there no power on the small terminal on the starter relay?
I checked with my test lite and confirmed that there is no power on the small terminal on the starter relay. It is the small terminal with the “L” shaped rubber boot that is a push in type connector.
Why is there no power on purple wire in start position?
If there is no ground getting to the starter relay then the computer is not energizing it. Typically when this occurs it is due to the computer not receiving a signal from the ignition switch or from the transmission position sensor.
What to do if your starter relay does not have power?
If you do have power, pull the fuse and probe the terminals that the fuse plugs into to see which one has power. The one that does not have power is the wire going to your ignition switch. Set your multimeter to Ohms to check continuity.

The other goes to the starter and is only hot when the solenoid is engaged, which is when the key is turned to the START position. The small wire is the power wire that energizes the solenoid when the ignition switch is turned to the START position by the key.
