How does the Logan clutch on a bell housing work?

How does the Logan clutch on a bell housing work?

Logan Air / Fluid actuated Bell Housing PTO clutches are self- adjusting and designed to mount directly to a diesel or gasoline engine’s flywheel. The friction disc packs optimize dry operation and actuation is accomplished through a stationary cylinder-piston arrangement or through internal shaft and clutch passages.

Where is there transmission fluid leaking from the bellhousing?

Worst case scenario, you should at least be able to remove the start to get a peek at the flywheel. Inspecting the flywheel, flex plate, clutch plate or torque converter is the best way to tell where your transmission fluid leak from the bellhousing is actually coming from. Where is your transmission fluid leaking from the bellhousing coming from?

Why is brake fluid leaking from clutch housing?

Lucky it was only down the road so was able to get towed home and after removing the scuttle panel could see that it was leaking brake/clutch fluid from the join at the bell housing. From searching online it seems the most likely source is the slave cylinder leaking, if this is the case how much would one be?

How does a power take off clutch work?

Torque is then transferred from the disc pack to a geared drive ring that is attached to the engine’s flywheel. Pressurizing the cylinder forces the piston to clamp and lock the friction and steel separator discs. When pressure is removed, release springs lift the friction and steel discs maintain a running clearance when disengaged.
