How does the fuel injection pump work on a Ford Endura?
How does the fuel injection pump work on a Ford Endura?
The camshaft is rotated by a toothed belt driven by a toothed sprocket on the Crankshaft, likewise the fuel injection pump is rotated by a second toothed belt driven from the crankshaft. The diesel injection pump is a rotary distributor type most typically made by Lucas CAV.
When did the first Bosch fuel pump come out?
Bosch supplied the industry’s first fuel injection system with a high pressure electric fuel pump in 1967. Since then, Bosch has stood at the forefront of fuel system technology, providing fuel pumps to virtually all vehicle manufacturers.
What kind of engine does Ford Endura-D have?
The Endura-DE engine features a cast iron block and indirect injection style cylinder head, which means there is a combustion chamber built into the cylinder head. This engine makes use of aluminium for some other components to minimise the weight penalty of the Diesel engine.
What kind of pump does a TDI engine use?
209_15 Valve cam Roller-type rocker arm Injection cam Injection cam Injection cam Pump piston Pump piston 10 The injection curve of the pump injection system largely matches the engine’s demands, with low pressures during the pre-injection cycle, followed by an “injection interval”, then a rise pressure during the main injection cycle.

How does the fuel pump work in a Bosch dieselduck?
It (sometimes with an additional outside-supply pump) is used to bring fuel from the tank and send pressurized fuel to the distributor plunger and the injection timing advance mechanism. Excess fuel is used to cool and lubricate the injection pump. FIGURE 3: Fuel flow through supply pump

What kind of pump can run a 1.9 TDI engine?
This is a mechanical pump that can run the 1.9 TDI engines. This pump is based off of the 1.9 AAZ Pump Body, so it will bolt on to the 1.9 AHU/1Z engine without modification. You will need the 1.9 AAZ sprocket or the MTDI sprocket. To engineer this pump I disassembled VW’s own 2.8 MTDI pump sold in Europe and copied the internal design.
