How do you know if you flooded your engine?
You can tell if your engine’s flooded when you spot these signs: Very fast cranking (the engine sounds different when you turn the key – usually a ‘whirring’ sound) A strong smell of petrol, especially around the exhaust. The car doesn’t start, or starts briefly and cuts out again.
What’s the problem with my 1997 Chevy Silverado?
I have a 1997 chevy 1500 siverado with a 5.7 vortec that has been having a problem for about 6 months now. The truck starts, idles, and revs normally and when accellarating slowly everything works just fine, but once you get past half throttle it falls on its face and acts like it has a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump.

97 Chevy truck won’t start when it gets cold?? When ever it gets cold my truck will not start. Seems to be fuel pressure but can’t smell any gas like it was flooding. It does’nt even fire like it wants to start.
Why does my GMC Suburban no start flooding itself out?
If I unplug one of the injectors it starts up and idles and I am able to plug the injector back in and it will idle as normal. If I try and start it with both injectors plugged in, it just cranks and cranks without attempting to start.

1997 chevy c1500 WT with 4.3 . getting harder to re crank.. Only driveable with both stop revving to keep it going. And that still doesnt work well. Work ive done. New cap and rotor. Cleaned…. Exh gas.
