maybe im out of touch but thought all these engines had cambelts i.e. there are no tappets. 1998 1.3 endura engines were the last with tappets. Prior to the Mk 6 and 6.5 petrol Fiestas, they had hydraulic tappet capsules, and a similar capsule on the timing-belt tensioner.
