Can you put 351W heads on a 1970 Mustang?

The only one i’ve heard is that you need a diffrent intake….the engine i want to do this on is a 1970 302 2bbl. :headscratch: The 351W heads will bolt right on.

The 351W heads will bolt right on. You use the 302 intake. There are some things that you will have to address, though. The 351w heads use 1/2″ head bolts vs the 302 which uses slightly smaller 7/16″ bolts. ARP sells special reducing washers to fill the gap and to keep the bolts in line.

one other thing. you need to make sure these heads are 351 windsor heads. 351 cleveland heads will not work on a 302 block without a special clevor intake manifold which is no longer being produced. hey guys…i recenty found out that i have the C80E 1968 4V heads on my 302.
