The Sims does not include the ability for the player to lock doors, though lockable doors are available as custom content. The ability to lock doors is first introduced in The Sims 2: Open for Business [n 2] and in The Sims 3: World Adventures. In The Sims 4, the ability to lock door returns in patch 21.
