Can You central lock the front door on a Ford Focus?
Mine can do that from time to time and when it does I have to manually lock the passenger front door with the key then press the central locking fob and all the doors will lock. From the amount of threads and posts on this issue I think the central locking is a common problem on the Focus.

– Focus central locking works like this. Ther are 2 tiny wires controlling the locks. One is for lock and one for unlock. When one of these wires gets earthed it locks/ unlocks. I found an interesting thing on internet for Ford Focus and it worked perfect. If your key fob won’t work but central locking works with key in door try this. Do this 4 times within 6 seconds and you will hear a chime similar to when you open door with lights on.

– Central locking don’t work on drivers door either with a key or remote. – I can open all doors with a key in passengers door. – Sometimes I hear a click from the doors, after 5 minutes from coldstart. – I unplugged the drivers door latch plug. All 3 other doors suddenly worked.
