When to replace Alternators on Chevy Duramax Diesel?
In fairness, I had a 2000 Ford F-350 XLT CC, LWB I drove for 267K and replaced 2 alternators, 2 H20 pumps and brakes, tires and batteries in. That truck didn’t need it’s first alignment until 150K.
When to troubleshoot the electrical system in a Chevy Silverado?

What causes a Duramax diesel engine to heat up?
When the engine is working hard, the turbocharger is drawing in a ton of air, and the restrictive stock turbo inlet tube can effectively choke the VGT turbocharger causing the compressor outlet temperature to skyrocket, heating up the intercooler, and ultimately raising the temperature of combustion and the coolant temp.
