Orvis Hot Springs, Colorado, is open year-round and open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests staying at the resort overnight get private access to the pools after 10 p.m. An all-day soak pass is $22 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-12.

Rain, snow, or shine, the Ouray Hot Springs are open year-round for public use. The Ouray Hot Springs Pool and Fitness Center houses five pools, three of which are geothermally heated. Temperatures range from 75 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit in our pools, which total to 750,000 gallons.

There is a separate bathroom with showers for women and men. A community kitchen that is available for their guests is also available to day use guests. They offer free coffee and tea.

Hot-spring water is usually fairly safe from the standpoint of carrying disease-causing organisms, but some is not (see below under “Stay healthy”), and the surface water that cools a scalding spring to usable temperatures will be prone to the same bugs and pathogens as any other surface water.

The floor is heated by the thermal power for your comfort. Clothing is optional is the private rooms. Clothing is required in the outdoor pools. Miracle does not treat their water.

The sulfur binds with oxygen to form the compound sulfate. Sulfur compounds are naturally occurring in hot springs and the source of the characteristic eggy odor. It’s interesting to note that the deeper the hot springs and the faster it sends water to the surface, the stronger the smell.

Orvis Hot Springs is a clothing optional hot springs. We offer several outdoor soaking areas and an indoor pool where bathing suits are required during regular business hours. Our grounds are beautifully manicured and offer great areas to sit out and enjoy the sun. We have a small hotel with 6 highly sought after rooms.

Orvis is clothing optional throughout the day. Outside, there are four separate pools. All are fed with soothing natural lithium hot springs. Temperatures range from 100-106° F. Outdoor Pools – “The Pond” is the largest at 40′ across and 5′ deep. “Island Pond” is 20′ long, 8′ wide, and 2′ deep.

If it’s just to experience the hot springs, coming at $22 for a 2 hour soak with 7 different pools to choose from. There is a smoking section for those that need to hit it while here.
