With its update to the codex version, the Riptide is a very good unit that can find a home in many (though not necessarily all) Tau armies out there, provided you are willing to invest into buying it drone support and other units to cover its weaknesses.
How do you beat Tau 40k?
- Shoot and kill anything with a markerlight.
- Punch the rest in the face.
- Start your assaults with giant, tanky things.
- Use assault “Pile In” moves to shenanigans your way around Overwatch.
- Double points if you use units that can deepstrike and assault reliably in a single turn.
Can riptides shoot in combat?
