Why is my Detroit Series 60 hard start?
I have heard that check valves can be an issue on the Detroit so I replaced the check valve behind the engine and also the one that is inline on the right side of the filter housing. This seemed to somewhat help but it has not really fixed the problem much if any. Anybody have any ideas?

When did I overhaul my Detroit S60 diesel?
I have overhauled my Detroit S60, year 2000 I put new pistons, new head, new fuel pump, new injector, new harness, new ecm and it does not work properly. It is idling roughly, doesnt have as much power as before, slow building turbo boost pressure from 16psi to maximum 24psi.
