1999 silverado Z71 4X4 4L60 all forward gears run fine. in reverse the more throttle the more it binds , never stops engine just labors more but truck doesnt go any faster.it backs just fine till I have to throttle. once is binds it will not move unless I throttle through, and I can get out of the truck and rock againstwhatever it is binding.

How to fix a locking differential on a Silverado?
Warm the Marvel Mystery Oil up prior to poring it in, 1 pint or less. This will reduce noise and locking problems in a locking differential. BUT CHANGE THE OIL FIRST if it still has a problem then add the Marvel Mystery Oil.
