Why does my 2015 Silverado make a ticking noise?

I thought it was normal noise from the engine until I heard another new 2015 running. I can not hear it while driving down the road and the engine runs and feels great. I can only hear it when it is sitting still idling. It doesn’t matter if the engine is cold or warm, it happens either way.
