Why does it sound like my car is sucking in air?

The exhaust circulation is built in to the emissions system. To me it sounds like your idle air control motor is closing and letting in too much air. If there is no check engine light on, you are going to have to look at all the values of the engine controls while it is running.

When I accelerate my car I hear air?

Rushing air noises during acceleration could be considered a normal part of operation. Even more so with high displacement engines, that rapidly ingest and move a lot of air and gases both through the intake and exhaust systems.

Is it normal to make noise when accelerating?

There are noises that are normal on acceleration. The best way to know if the noise is normal is simply if you have heard the noise before. You have probably driven, or at least ridden in cars for years.

Why does my car make a whoosh noise when I accelerate?

It happens only when accelerating slightly hard. the engine makes a ‘whoooooshing’ sound when accelerating slightly hard, normal acceleration is fine – it sounds like a burst of wind noise which is what i thought it was, but its definately not that as iv tested it many times now. What on earth is it? A turbo leak?

Why does my car make a clicking noise when I accelerate?

When the valves wear they will make a clicking noise. This is most noticeable when accelerating because the valves are moving much faster. The bearings are what allow the cam and crankshaft to spin for thousands of miles and millions of revolutions. If any of the bearings fail they will cause a ticking or screeching noise.
