Why are my turn signal lights not blinking?
Both rear signal lights don’t blink at all and the turn indicator on my dash display doesn’t also blink ( the small green circle signal indicator on the dash ) No matter if I turn the switch left or right, both turn lights on the front blink together. What could be wrong? where would the damage be? Posts: A lot.
What are the symptoms of a bad turn signal Flasher?
1. Turn signals or hazards do not function. The most common symptom of a bad or failing turn signal / hazard flasher is hazards or turn signal lights that do not function. If the flasher breaks or has any internal issues it can cause the lights to malfunction, or not respond at all when the turn signal lever or hazard light button are pressed.
How is the hazard light connected to the turn signal?
The brake light circuit and the turn signal circuit have crossed paths somewhere. The wires carrying the power supply from the turn signal switch is connected or touching the brake wires. The hazard light button is essentially an additional power source and switch for the turn signal circuit.
Why are my blinkers acting like hazard lights?
A wire coming off would not only stop the nearby flasher (s) from functioning properly, but could also cause the blinkers to behave as hazard lights. Apologies for not including such a mention earlier.
