Why are my cluster gauges going haywire?
Having the same problem with the cluster gauges going haywire. Happens more when it is cold outside. Gas gauge won’t work, speedometer, drive, park, neutral lights don’t work, show up, gas gauge keeps going up and down. and the speedometer starts working.
What does it mean when your dash gauges stop working?
After a short period they jump back up or if I stop, shut it down and restart it all is fine, for a while. I also hear what sounds like a pressure relief valve releasing, and when the gauges are down and I am coming to a stop, it sounds like the tranny is grinding. No Warranty left and can’t afford the dealer prices.

Why do I have trouble shooting my gauge cluster?
I have been trouble shooting my instrument cluster for months! My gauge cluster, windows, radio would all come and go as they pleased for any amount of time you can think of. Seconds, minutes or days. It would happen in every circumstance you can think of; key on engine off, engine running at idle, left turn, right turn, braking, or accelorating.
Why do the gauges move with the key off?
YOU CAN HAVE KEY OFF AND SOMETIMES GAUGES WILL TWITCH. JUST NOTICED THAT WITH KEY OFF IF YOU HIT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS THAT GAUGES WILL MOVE. JEEP DEALERSHIP CAN’T FIGURE IT OUT AND NEITHER CAN MY MECHANIC. MECHANIC THINKS ITS A ELECTRIC PROBLEM? WHAT ABOUT IGNITION? OBVIOUSLY THERE MUST BE SOME JUICE GETTING TO GAUGES WITH KEY OFF.
