Where is the rain sensor on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Where is the rain sensor on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The sensor is mounted in contact with the inside of the windshield, near the rearview mirror. The sensor projects infrared light into the windshield at a 45-degree angle. If the glass is dry, most of this light is reflected back into the sensor by the front of the windshield.

Why are my intermittent wipers not working on my Jeep?

If I switch through the different switch positions, the wipers will wipe once then stop and never wipe again. Do I have to replace the entire arm/switch assembly?

Why are my front windshield wipers not working?

Have a 2014 JGC eco diesel. The front windshield wipers only work in the full “on” mode. They don’t work in any of the I termittent or delayed settings. If I switch through the different switch positions, the wipers will wipe once then stop and never wipe again.

The control assembly (multi function Switch) is only really adjusting your preferred sensitivity setting.

Is it normal to use one wiper in rain?

The one-wipe behavior is normal when there is no rain and rain-sensing is enabled. In both my ’14 Overland and ’17 Summit you had to choose between Rain Sensing or Intermittent. As mentioned above this is a menu setting. It makes sense since the same switch position adjusts either sensitivity or delay between swipes.

Why are my wipers not working in the rain?

Since your wipers don´t go into low speed continuous mode, it seems that the rain sensing module is working, but not sending a wipe command. Check if the infrared sensors from the rain sensing module are clean and no obstacles are in their way (like a sticker or such). They work!

Why is my Wiper not sending a wipe command?

If it does get a signal, it waits for a wipe command from the rain sensing module. Since your wipers don´t go into low speed continuous mode, it seems that the rain sensing module is working, but not sending a wipe command.
