My 2008 had a trunk closing problem . Whether the top was being put down or put up the trunk would not close afterwards. Going through all the connections to make sure there was no wires pinched or anything broken or loose, I decided to pull the manual trunk open handle.

The wire harness goes up the right arm ( for the trunk) and at the top makes a sharp bend. This is were I found the broken wire ( green with red tracer). You will have to remove the tape and the mesh. This problem started out intermittent and finally quit with the trunk up and the cover in the down position. I hope this helps .
