What should the high side pressure be on a Chevy Silverado?

What should the high side pressure be on a Chevy Silverado?

Add to the low side and monitor high side pressure. High side pressure should be 2.2 to 2.5 times the ambient temperature. If it’s 100 degrees then the high side pressure should be between 220 and 250 psi. Start by targeting the lower end of that, it’s easier to add than remove. When you stop adding your low side should be between 30 and 40 psi.

Is the a / C on my Silverado Sierra working?

I have a 2002 Silverado with a 5.3L engine. The A/C is not working and I want to check the pressure on both the low and high side, but can not find the low side port.

Where is the low pressure switch on a Silverado GMC?

However there is not one on the drier of this GMC. I don’t know if the Silverado has a different A/C system but as can be seen from this picture there is no pressure switch or a place for one on the drier. It has the low side port but that’s it. Im guessing its down near the compressor.

Where is the low pressure port on a Silverado Sierra?

I have a 2001 silverado 5.3 and just added some 134 and the low pressure port was the smaller one and was located closest to the cab the high pressure port was closest to the front of the truck and larger in size. My truck was blowing cool but not cold in heat. I added 1/2 a can of 134 and it’s blowing nice and cold now.
