What makes a turn signal click?

Traditionally, the clicking sound is made via heat. Drivers would switch on their blinker, and the electricity would heat up a bimetallic spring in the car, causing it to bend until it made contact with a small strip of metal. As the spring bent back and forth, it created a clicking sound.

Is the stereo on my Terrain Equinox working?

I started my 2014 Terrain up this morning to find that the stereo system is completely broken. I cannot get sound out of my speakers from any inputs; AM/FM radio, USB, XM, nothing produces sound. I also notice that my blinker sounds to not have the “tick” noise anymore.

Re: Lost the clicking sound to my turn signal indicator. The sound for the clicker is the same electronic chime that makes all the dings when you start the car or leave a door open or the headlights on. Are all those chimes still working properly?
