There is a chime that will alert you when the key is left in the ignition. This chime is helpful to remind you to not lock your keys in the vehicle. The Key-in-Ignition chime will sound when the key is in the accessory position and the driver door is open.

The repaired cylinder has been replaced (I removed one set of tumblers that was out of place), the key turns fine – accessory, start features all work as intended.
