What happens when you put a van in reverse?
When I put the van in reverse it hesitates for about 3 seconds before it engages. It does this when it is cold and when warm, although a little quicker to engage when it is cold. When going into drive or the other gears it kicks in right away. It doesn’t make any bangs or clunks when it finally goes in reverse and shifts fine while driving.

It does NOT have a “reverser”. It is a 6400 with a cab, 4 wheel drive, and a PowerQuad transmission. Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thank you so much !!!!! Are you able to pull error codes? Owner’s manual should tell how. Uses turn signal switch. Trans has it’s own oil pump, (may have failed?) So 3 pt is not related.

If a 2 shift lever powerquad, take the gear shift out of park and when shift lever is moved from neutral to first gear forward or first gear reverse the shift linkage underneath should move again. If linkage does not move, you could have a broken shift cable.
Why does my PWR reverser not go into gear?
Anyone got any more ideals. It will not go into gear with the pwr reverse handle, when it finally moves it will not go back into gear. Forward to Reverse it just sits there, Reverse to Forward it just sits there. After its sits a few seconds it jumps and goes.
